Timothy Ostroski, Executive Director of the Southern Iowa Council of Governments is named to state advisory board.
Iowa Finance Authority makes appointments to State Housing Trust Fund Advisory Board.
The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) Board of Directors recently appointed ten members to the State Housing Trust Fund Advisory Board, including Timothy Ostroski of the Southern Iowa Council of Governments.
IFA administers the State Housing Trust Fund, which helps ensure decent, safe and affordable housing for Iowans through two important programs. The Local Housing Trust Fund Program provides grants for communities, counties and organizations that wish to create a local housing trust fund. The Project-Based Housing Program aids the development of single-family and multifamily housing.
The rules that govern both programs require IFA to create an advisory board, which must be representatives of the housing industry. The board meets as necessary as advisors to IFA on the State Housing Trust Fund programs.
The Iowa Finance Authority relies on the expertise of our housing industry partners to help us develop and administer programs that most appropriately meet the housing needs of our state, said Bret Mills, IFAs Executive Director. We welcome these new members to the State Housing Trust Fund Advisory Board and appreciate their commitment.
